CHFI remains the most listened to station in Canada’s largest city. A full 3 share points behind is CHUM-FM which only just made it into double digits, but at least they end the year a little closer to CHFI than they have been in some time.
CBC came in at #3 but lost some audience. Bell will be happy with results they got with CFRB which managed to pick up over 2 share points to finish the year at #4 which is their best result for some time. Perhaps they benefited from not having either of the Ford brothers on the air.
They will also be celebrating at MZ Media as the Classic station (CFMZ-FM) managed to increase audience share and jump 3 slots to make it into the top 5 in Toronto
Next is the Newcap station 97.3 Boom FM (CHMB) that has slipped back almost a point and ranks 6th. They will not be happy at 680 News (CFTR) which actually picked up audience but remained static at 7th.
The ratings gods were not kind to Virgin (CKFM-FM) which slipped 3 places to 8th. Q107 managed to pick up some audience but drooped from 8th to 9th in the market. KISS also had a rough book and just managed to hold onto the 10th slot in Toronto.
