Announcer/Promotions Director – Ontario

ByrnesMedia works with lots of radio stations across Canada and beyond, and we are always looking for great talent who have a passion for the business and want to have fun at work every day. One of our Ontario clients is looking for an Announcer/Promotions Director.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Promotions Department
  • Create great promotions to grow ratings and generate revenue on radio and online
  • Oversee the station’s website and content
  • Oversee station’s social media platforms
  • Hire and manage promotions staff
  • Prepare and host a daily air shift both live and voice tracked
  • Commercial voice work
  • Make public appearances and do great remotes.


  • Graduate of a recognized Broadcast Program and, ideally, some experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Superior showprep skills
  • Understand the importance of “local”
  • Must connect and engage with a 25-54 audience and generate great ratings
  • Must love generating original content both on air and across our digital platforms
  • Of course you’ll be an amazing team player with a great attitude on air, in the halls and in the market.
  • You will have a passion for music and radio industry
  • Valid G Class Ontario driver’s license and a clean driving record
