Numeris recently released some information they gleaned from looking at all the radio survey diaries from the fall of 2014. Here is what they found
•Close to 80% of Canadians think radio is essential in making the time in the car more enjoyable
•54% of Canadians find radio to be an important part of their general daily life
•12 million Canadians use the radio as an alarm to wake up every day
•Nearly a third of Canadians listen to the radio while running errands
•64% of Canadians listen to the radio while commuting and 73% of Canadians listen to the radio when driving in a vehicle
•A third of Canadians tune to the radio for weather reports and traffic updates
•Over 50% of Canadians tune to the radio for information on community news and news about local events
•12 million of Canadians listen to the radio at home and 10 million listen while at work
•Nearly half of Canadians tune to the radio while relaxing at home
•Close to 50% of Canadians tune to the radio for discovering new music and song
