It’s hard to believe that it was almost 16 years to the day (14 March 1998) that the C.R.T.C licensed two new radio stations in the Kelowna radio market. Since that time a number of stations in that market have struggled to gain market share and meet the revenue expectations of their corporate owners.

Another unusual factor in this market is the Nick Frost owed  website portal that is generating a significant amount of revenue at the expense of other Kelowna media, including radio.

With the poor performance of The Juice in the past 4 BBM ratings books it comes as no surprise that this station is changing format again. Will it be country, another version of oldies or something else all together? We’ll find out Friday at 5:15pm. Good luck to all those involved.
