As expected, CHED continues to lead in Edmonton. Country had a good book, though, with CISN gaining .6 of a share. Rawlco continues to have success in the market on two fronts. 102.3 Now FM (CKNO-FM) has tacked on over a share since the start of the year, but that’s dwarfed by sister station, Up 99.3 (CIUP-FM), approaching almost a 3 share increase in 2011. No changes in market position occurred book to book and the rest of the stations were fairly consistent with only one notable exception – Astral’s 104-9 Virgin (CFMG-FM) continues to hemorrhage listeners. After blowing up their adult contemporary EZ Rock franchise, the station has gone from a 7.3 at the beginning of the year to a disappointing 2.6 – a drop of 9 ranks. Look for changes.
