Morning News Anchor/Co-Host – Woodstock, ON

Heart FM104.7 Heart FM is the most listened to local radio station in Oxford County. Our city is growing and business in booming. Being the only truly local radio station in the market, we are committed to delivering local news and information. We are looking for someone to anchor our morning news run and help the morning host deliver an entertaining show. We are seeking a journalist who has the drive for local news and can become an ambassador for the radio station in Woodstock and Oxford County. Toyota and Sysco have homes here, you should too.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparing and reading news casts.
  • Knowledge of local news coverage and how to dig up relevant stories on slow days
  • Updating station’s web site & social media portals in a timely manner
  • Continue our relationship with local government agencies & utilities, etc.
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Working with morning host to help deliver an entertaining morning show.

Qualifications:

  • Broadcasting or Journalism Diploma
  • Proficient with Burli News Software preferred
  • A valid Ontario G Class Drivers License in good standing
  • An enthusiastic, team player attitude required
  • Strong social media skills.
  • Shooting editing and posting video stories would be an asset.
  • Appeal to our target demo
  • Relocation to Woodstock is a job requirement
